Heyo!
This is my entry for the School AU themed competition by AttackOnTitanxReader.
Oh my God, I bypassed my lovely proof-reader FandomDerp in the name of trying to get this out in time for the deadline. Forgive me for any errors! ;^;
But really, I've been working on this since September, why am I so late? T_T

Let me know what you think, and most importantly, enjoy~

Warnings: Mild alcohol usage and mild sexual situations. All characters are 18+
                                                                                        ~*

"No way, there's no way (Nickname) here could ever pull that off." Ymir had laughed and flopped back onto the couch, her hands immediately digging into your snacks.
"I don't know about that. At last year's Halloween party she got Armin really flustered with her costume." Krista piped up from beside her freckled companion.
"Pfft!" Sasha almost rolled off her seat as she recalled the memory. "Yeah, because she was dressed up like him!"
The loud guffaws of your friends filled the small living room as you glowered at them from your seat on the floor.

"Ha-ha. Hilarious." You rolled your eyes at the idiots. "And by the way, Ymir, I could definitely do it."
"Oh really?" Her thin brown brow rose in challenge.
"Really." You forced yourself not to blink in your silent stare-off.
"Alright then. I'll believe you...if you can prove it in one month." She smirked victoriously, having cornered you.

It may have been the long boring hours of reading that had you praying for relief or maybe the influx of caffeine in your system that was getting you a bit giddy; but whatever it was, it made you agree.
"Deal." You countered. You were sure that you would be able to bribe Marco or Bertholdt into helping you.
"Alright then." The dark-haired female clapped her hands together, the sound uncomfortably ominous.
"By next month's girls' night in, you had better have Levi Ackerman eating out of the palm of your hand or else~"
You balked.

"Levi? You're kidding, right?"
"Nope. Or else you have to cover my shift at the coffee shop for the next month. But I still get the tips!"
That was the precise moment that you should have laughed that whole thing off and gone back to your studying despite her taunts.
Instead...
"I said we have a deal, don't we?"

That night as you rested your head on your pillow, listening to the melodic sounds of Sasha's snoring in your shared apartment, you realised the terrible situation you had gotten yourself into.

                                                                                           ~*

'Rule number one, is that you gotta have fun...'

Week 1, Day 5.

You patted down the skirt while inconspicuously trying to pull it just a bit lower on your legs. You really should have known better than to put it out where the girls could easily see it. That said, it was a very pretty skirt, just not one you thought you'd ever wear to class. The hem fluttered softly against the skin above your knees.
The closer you got to the classes, the more you realized that this was a very, very, very bad idea. Somehow on your way from your room, you had managed to avoid too much human interaction. However, once you stepped into the doors of the suddenly intimidating university building block, you knew there was no turning back.

"Maybe I should use a side door...or just not go today at all. I could say that I came down with a bad case of cramps..."
As you began to talk yourself out of it, your footsteps slowed down until you were standing completely still a few steps from the doors.
"Yeah, I don't need to do this. I'll just go-"

"WHOA! Hey Bert, you seeing what I'm seeing?"
Your nails dug into your palms as you contemplated the many ways to kill your friends for indirectly putting you in this situation. A tall, built frame circled you to your front and openly looked you over. The blonde's eyebrows were raised in amusement as his arms folded over his broad chest.

"Hey (Name), what's up?"
"Hello Reiner." Your clipped tones inconspicuously warned him not to do anything he'd regret. A soft laugh passed his lips as his even taller friend slowly made it to his side. Bertholdt's long hands loosely held onto the strap of his book bag as he tried not to look down at your exposed skin. Reiner wrapped an arm around the dark-haired man's shoulders, pulling the latter into a slight stoop.
"Hey Bert, don't you think (Name)'s looking exceptionally stunning today?" The blonde asked in a dramatic stage-whisper.
You rolled your eyes as you avoided eye contact with either male.

"Okay, Reiner. Ha-ha, you've had your morning laugh, now-"
"She does."
The soft-spoken male's voice silenced you, causing Reiner to erupt in a loud laugh at both of your expressions.
"N-Not that you don't usually! It's just that you...well..."
You could tell that the situation was making him uncomfortable and decided to ease him out of it.

"Thanks Bert." You said simply, your smile causing him to mirror the action.
"Hey!"
You sighed as you looked back at Reiner.
"Thanks Braun."
"He gets to be on a first name, nick-name basis and I don't? Bert you sly dog!"
At that, you all laughed heartily.

"Well guys, I'm off. Class is gonna start soon."
As you walked around them to the doors, you did a little twist that had the edge of your skirt rising slightly with the movement. Reiner wolf-whistled at the action. Still giggling, you turned to blow him an air kiss, only for your eyes to take in a new figure near your group.
Grey eyes met with yours for a second and it took all your will power not to freeze up in embarrassment.
Instead, you opened the door and closed it behind you, leaving three pairs of eyes on your form.

'...but baby when you're done, you gotta be the first to run~'

                                                                                                                  ~*

'Rule number two, just don't get attached to somebody you could lose...'

Week 2, Day 1.

You stretched up onto your toes trying to reach up to the book on the shelf. Your fingers scrapped the bottom edge of the book before you forcefully exhaled and fell back onto your heels.
You folded your hands over your chest as you glared at the offending object, willing it to come to you. Looking over the railing of the first floor of the library, down to the ground floor, you saw that the librarian was yet to return to their post. Which meant that you didn't have anyone to help you get the book you wanted.

Growling softly, you looked around to check if anyone was paying attention to you. Glancing back up at the item still mocking your height, you contemplated either jumping for it and hoping you got it or climbing up a chair and getting it; both cringe-inducing actions.
Rolling up the sleeves on your shirt, you opted to just jump for it.
Suddenly, the book fell off, right onto the floor in front of you...or where you were originally. You had jumped away from the attacking object and into a totally-cooked up martial arts pose. You watched the book for a good five seconds before deciding that it wasn't going to perform anymore miraculous, heart-attack inducing feats. You bent over and picked it up, the object remaining perfectly lifeless in your hands.

"Oh...kay then?"
Getting out of that particular spot just then seemed like the perfect idea when you had a scoff off to the side. The thought that someone had seen your interaction with the inanimate things was enough to spread a bit of heat into your face as you looked to the origin of the sound.

"You're welcome."
"Um...thanks?"
Levi raised an eyebrow at you but made no further comment, turning back to wherever he had magicked from.
"Wait, actually...how did you reach it?"
The male's grey eyes appraised you, debating as to whether you actually deserved an answer.

A slight grin spread across your lips, to the man's hidden chagrin.
"You jumped, didn't you?"
Sparing you a worded response, he clicked his tongue and walked away, leaving you calling after him with a slight laugh to your voice.
"I'm just saying, we shelf-jumpers should stick together, y'know?"

                                                                                            ~*

'Rule number three, wear your heart on your cheek but never on your sleeve...'

Week 3, Day 4.

"Ahahaha! No way! Shut up Sasha!" Connie nearly fell over himself as Sasha continued to narrate one of their escapades together. Having just completed the horrendous CAT week, your friends had decided to go out and celebrate. Except that the group was a lot larger than you had thought.
You had all filled into one of the guys' private apartments; Erwin, he was referred to as. He was tall and muscular with the most penetrating blue-eyed gaze. You had all but squeaked when the two of you were introduced. It didn't help that he had a lovely deep voice. At first, it the evening was a relaxed one among friends and acquaintances. Soon enough though, due to the influence of Reiner and Jean, alcohol began to flow and flow it did. In copious amounts.

You were seated on the armrest of one of Erwin's couches, your back against the wall. You had an advantageous view of everyone in the room and the hi-jinks they were getting up to.
"The best part is, she never found out that it was me! I think she still has a phobia of tea that she hasn't brewed herself!"
Even as you laughed and attempted to keep your balance on your perch, in the sober part of your mind, you promised yourself never to let Connie make you any drink, lest he spike it with hot sauce too.

"But Krista you can make my tea every morning~" The drunk, fruity voice of Reiner joked, diverting the conversation from Connie's shenanigans.
"Yeah, she could. Probably 'cause you'd be eating through a straw for a few months." Ymir easily replied from her position near Krista.
A collective "ooh" sound left everyone's lips save for yours. In your inebriated state, everything became way funnier, and your laugh drew the attention to you.

"Alright, I retract. But I'm sure (Name) wouldn't mind. And she does have a stunning pair of legs..."
Wolf-whistles accompanied the comment with a smirk lingering on your lips. You slowly eased off the arm rest, leaving Marco and Bert on the couch and slid onto the floor, next to Mikasa and opposite Levi.
"Hmm...as tempting as that sounds, I'm more into the whole dark hair and perpetually brooding look..."
Your arm loosely wrapped around Mikasa's shoulders to everyone's excitement.

You looked over to see one of Levi's eyebrows raise slightly as you turned and innocently pecked the girl's slightly flushed cheek. Joining in with everyone's laughter at the display of emotion on the girl's face, you missed the calculating look that Levi levelled at you.

'...unless you wanna taste defeat~'

                                                                                              ~*

'Rule number four, gotta be looking pure. Kiss him goodbye at the door...'

Week 4, Day 6.

You enjoyed the breeze that caressed your face, cooling the heat that you felt because of walking side by side with Levi. He showed no anxiety whatsoever from the close proximity and his walk was laid-back and relaxed. Soon the breeze picked up and a light shower accompanied it. The cool water made you quicken your steps, dreading looking like a rained-on animal in front of your...um...friend.
Despite, the fact that the two of you had been on a few dates since the night you were tipsy, you hesitated to refer to him as anything more, lest you ruin the relationship you had.

You picked your keys from your pocket, effortlessly picking out the right one by the familiar grooves. You unlocked the door but didn't open it. Turning back to the man who had chivalrously walked you home, you smiled at him, the action coming almost naturally. His gaze lingered on the curves of your lips before he reciprocated half the gesture, a sexy smirk taking it's place over his thin lips.
He slowly advanced on you, pushing you against the door and effectively trapping you against it. His firm lithe body leaned against yours, pressing you closer against the immovable wood of your door.

"Thanks for tonight." You murmured softly for he was already in your bubble and talking too loudly would rapture the trance you were in. He didn't reply, merely watching you expectantly. You raised your hand to place it on his cheek and he in turn leaned into your palm. This exposed his opposite cheek to you and you leaned in and kissed it softly, a soft exhale leaving the man's lips as he turned and saw your half-open eyes.
His eyebrows raised in a challenge to which you responded by grinning and placing your hand on the door knob.

"Goodnight Levi."
You entered and closed the door gently. You instantly placed a hand over your rapidly beating heart. That heated look that he gave you would plague both your dreams and your nightmares.

'...and leave him wanting more~'

"We'll get him falling for a stranger, a player, singing 'I lo-lo-love you~"

Week 4, Day 7.

"Well (Name), looks like I win, as expected of course." Ymir shamelessly gloated as she bounced on your couch. Krista gave you a sympathetic look as she lay down next to Ymir on the couch..
"Guess who's getting paid but not going to be working~ Y'know besides most of our politicians." The freckled female channel-surfed while you rolled your eyes. Sasha popped in from the kitchen with two bowls of freshly popped corn, handing you the one that seemed already half eaten.

"She has a point (Nickname). Sure we've seen you guys hang out and stuff but you know the deal, there has to be legitimate...proof...that you guys..."
Her sentence tapered off into silence as she gawked at her phone. She furiously typed for a few seconds, ignoring the questions from Krista and Ymir.
Seconds later, their phones beeped and they suspiciously checked the notification, only for their jaws to drop as well.

They were all staring at the same photo on their phones. It was a photo on Instagram, and not on just anyone's account.
It was Levi's account. An account that he made especially so he could post that photo. It was of the two of you from the previous night, just before the drizzle had started. He had his arm wrapped around you and you were nestled against him. Though your facial expressions were on completely different spectrums, you positively beaming and he as impassive as usual, the implications of the photo were undeniable.

'My girl.'

The caption read simply.
You held back your Cheshire cat grin as they all turned to look at you, silent awe etched on their faces. You turned back to your phone and replied to the text that had just come in from Levi, your boyfriend.

'...at least I think I do~'

Edit: I didn't win but I got an honorable mention :'>
